As part of the celebrations for 100 years of Sea Scouting in 2009, the Discovery Sailing Project intend to circumnavigate the British mainland during the summer months, using our 60ft. vessel “Thermopylae Clipper”. This will be in lieu of our traditional participation in the Tall Ships Race.
Places on the voyage will be available on a weekly basis, firstly for group bookings. A maximum of 11 berths are available for groups, but must include at least one Leader. The minimum age is 13 years.
These Centres accept bookings from throughout the County.

Whilst Scouting is a voluntary movement, the amount of kayaking and canoeing which we like to maintain within the 8th Norwich Sea Scout Group means that we need more help than we could hope to find from purely voluntary effort. We are therefore looking for a BCU Coach Level 3 to take on responsibility for these activities within the Group, whom we would expect to remunerate as appropriate.
Fellow Sea Scouters:I've been asked to forward this to the lists by Ron Bird of Scouting New Zealand.
